Argillite Totem Pole for Chief Skedans Honourary

Chief Skedans Argillite Pole was carved in 1973 by Rufus Moody from the Haida Nation. The original Totem Pole was carved to honour Chief Skedans. The argillite pole is a very large argillite carving and weighs a little over 10 pounds. The argillite pole is 20 1/4 inches tall and about 3 1/2 x 2 3/4 inches thick. The top is about 5 x 5 inches. The base is about 5 x 3 3/4 inches. The argillite carving is in very good condition, with very few minor nicks.We are selling this carving for a collector that has bought it directly from the artist. Offers will be considered.
