Dogfish Paddle with Soul Catcher

Yellow Cedar Paddle with dog fish carving and a soul catcher as handle, carved by Donnie Edenshaw from the Haida Nation. The soul catcher is carved from bear bone with 4 abalone inlays. This was the only carved paddle featured in the exhibition RAVEN TRAVELLING: Two Centuries of Haida Art, at the Vancouver Artgallery in 2006. The size is about L= 5 feet , H= 1 1/2 inches, W= 6 1/2 inches.
