SOLD This Mother Orca or Killer Whale with Child is an elegant and touching red cedar carving by Cliff Wilson. The carving highlights beautifully the unique style that Cliff has developed incorporating abalone and copper inlays. The dark spots on the wood of the cedar stand are burn marks that originated when both pieces of wood were thrown into the fire to burn. Cliff saw the pieces of wood burning and inspired by his vision of this carving, saved the wood from the fire and created this amazing sculpture. The carving is 13 inches long, up to 6 inches wide and close to 5 1/2 inches high.  This carving is inlayed with copper and 12 abalone pieces. The price includes shipping to the US and Canada.
